“教师有三种爱:
热爱学习,热爱学习者,
以及将最初的两个爱情结合在一起的爱。”
- 斯科特·海登

Dear Students and Parents,
a warm welcome to you and thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about who I am.
The above quote has always resonated with me:
Love of Learning
I'm genuinely passionate about language. Words fascinate me—how they're used, how they connect ideas, how they bring stories to life. As an AI Prompt Engineer and Data Annotator at Meta, teaching classes, tutoring, and writing short stories and screenplays, I'm constantly immersed in language. I also enjoy researching high-quality materials and creating class content that combines strong fundamentals with creativity and real-world relevance. Sharing this passion with students and helping them discover the power and beauty of English is incredibly rewarding. I've taught many subjects in Canada and China, from Classic Literature and Poetry, Creative and Screenwriting, Non-Fiction, to English as a Second Language. Beyond the classroom, I've helped students craft compelling college application essays for top schools.
Love of Learners
Every student is unique and deserves personalized support. I love helping them discover their writing voice, embrace their authentic selves, and build confidence in who they are. I adapt my teaching to each student's needs, skills, and personality, incorporating diverse materials and approaches to keep lessons engaging and relevant. Parents appreciate my patience, kindness, and challenging yet real-world content. Students love my sense of humor and creativity—and that I let their personalities shine while encouraging them to express their ideas freely.
In my classes, students read and analyze texts carefully to truly understand and connect with written content. I use the Socratic Method to guide discussions where students discover answers themselves and develop strong critical thinking and communication skills. Students also get a chance to practice what they've learned to improve their writing skills along the way. I actually tend to write along with them during class, which they absolutely love! I believe learning should benefit students both in school and in life. Through careful observation and detailed feedback, I help students build not just language skills, but belief in their abilities, their personality, and who they're becoming.
Bringing the First Two Loves Together
Every student success—big or small—brings me genuine joy. Teaching isn't just what I do; it's who I am. I'm constantly growing as an educator so I can support each student in their own unique way. I can't imagine life without my students and teaching, and I hope to bring these two loves together for a long time.
A Little Something Fun
I won screenwriting awards for my very first scary short screenplay and had the honor of serving as a judge for the UK's Pageturner Awards. When I'm not teaching, I write scary short stories! I'm currently working on a collection—one spooky story for each month of the year. There's nothing quite like crafting a good plot twist or sending chills down a reader's spine. 👻
Warmly,
Jennifer Storm, M.A.

Languagearts AI
